Autumn Pairs
The very popular three day Autumn Pairs Classic starts on the 13th September and finishes on the 15th September. This three day event, played over the three local courses Dungarvan, West Waterford and the Gold Coast has proved to be very attractive for the many visitors that it attracts for the past number of years. Hopefully we can look forward to more of the same good weather that we have got used to over the last few months which will help to make this event once again an enjoyable few days for all taking part.
Gold Coast Cup Match Play
The final of the Gold Coast Cup Match Play between Anthony Morrissey and Ger Bagge should be a tight match which should go all the way to the wire. This final has to be played by the 19th September and the presentation of the Gold Coast Cup will be made at the end of the year Social which will be held in the Gold Coast Hotel on the 3rd October.
The Club Mixed Foursome Match Play
The semi finals of the Club Mixed Foursome has to be played by the 10th September and the Final by the 20th September. In the semi final Derek Power and Kay Wade take on the experienced pair of Jackie Fahey and Ruth Hannigan and in the other semi final Jimmy Beresford and Teresa Queally are up against John O’Mahoney and Ann Mc Grath. Both semi finals will be hard fought matches and at the end no doubt but the best team will win.
Willie Barron Fourball Match Play
The Willie Barron Fourball is down to the final two pairs of John Hallinan and Jack Moore up against Mick Ahern and Tony Moore.
Unfortunately the Club Captain, John Hallinan, did damage to his leg recently while he was trying to chase a football some place, rumour has it, and he may be unable to play golf for a few weeks.
